Hello! My name is Megan, but you can call me Meg. I live in Cape Town, South Africa - one of the most beautiful cities in the world! I am a lover of movies, series and all types of music. Reading is a hobby of mine, and my favourite genre is fiction and fantasy. I am very interested in all cultures, and love to travel. 

Since I can remember, English has been my passion. I grew up loving reading and writing, and hope to write my very own book one day. I have a bachelor's degree in English and French, an Honours degree in French, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with specialisation in English teaching, as well as a TEFL certification. 

My English teaching career started when I spent a year teaching English in France as an extension of my French honours program. I taught children, as well as adults, with the main focus on improving their conversational English as well as providing them with a cultural understanding of myself and English speaking countries. 

I then studied my PGCE in English teaching, and spent 3 years teaching primary school children English in South Africa. I also have experience teaching English online to children and adults, with a focus on improving language, vocabulary and grammar. I also have experience in teaching English to those wanting to learn for fun, for travel purposes, as well as for business. 

I am a fun loving, passionate and engaging teacher that can adapt my lessons to your needs. I have preset lessons that focus on language aqcuisition and grammar, conversation classes that range in topics, but can also customise my lessons to suit any need. As my passion extends to poetry and literature, I am also able to assist with text analysis and writing. 

To assess your English level, and help with deciding on the best course of action for your English learning needs, I would suggest setting up a trail session with me ASAP. This session will help us both establish the learning outcomes, and figure out where to begin your English journey! 

While I know there are many options out there for English teachers, I can offer engaging, thought-provoking and fun lessons, conversations to improve your English without judgement, as well as lessons that can assist you in taking your English further!
