こんにちは！ My name is Marissa.

Where am I from?
I live in beautiful South Africa, which is home to the famous Big Five. More specifically, I reside in Cape Town, 15 kilometres from Table Mountain, a major tourist attraction.

I love travelling and learning about different countries and cultures.  I would love to hear where you are from and learn about your culture.

My teaching background:

I have been teaching English online for the past 4 years, and enjoy it very much!
I teach beginners, intermediate and advanced students, and have already assisted hundreds of students to improve their fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. I would love to help you too. 

I hold a level 5 TEFL Certificate, and I am also a university student, studying Educational Psychology.  I have 15 years of experience working in the corporate field, and I can also assist you with Business English, as well as Academic English.

I enjoy giving all types of lessons, but my favourite is free-talk conversations.  We can talk about any subject, but here are a few of my favourite topics: movies, food and cooking, gardening, culture, crafting, reading, travelling, wildlife, pets, and psychology. 

What are your hobbies and interests?

What I offer:

* My lessons are fun and relaxed and completely centred around the student's learning goals. I have a lot of patience and will teach at a pace that you are comfortable with.
* If you prefer, I will set homework with each lesson and review it and give feedback to you before our next lesson.
