Hi there! I'm Bruno, a native Spanish speaker from Argentina, currently living in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I've also lived and worked in Madrid, so I have a good grasp of both Latin American and European Spanish.
I hold a degree in History and taught History and Social Sciences for five years, so I know how to explain things clearly, adapt to each student, and keep the classes dynamic. Teaching is my passion: seeing a student go from nervous to confident is the best part of my day.
Outside of class, I love music (I play and record my own songs), history, traveling, and discovering the culture behind each language. I’d love to share with you Argentine and Spanish culture, from music and food to everyday expressions that you won’t find in textbooks!
Education:
I have a degree in History from the Instituto Superior del Profesorado "Almirante Guillermo Brown" in Santa Fe, Argentina. It’s a teacher training institution, so my studies included pedagogy, lesson planning, and student assessment.
Teaching Experience:
History and Social Sciences Teacher (2016–2021): I taught secondary students at IPEI Leonardo Da Vinci in Argentina. I planned lessons, graded written assignments, and adapted my teaching to students with different needs and learning styles.
Online Spanish Teacher (Freelance): I offer one-on-one online Spanish lessons and help my students gain real confidence in conversation.
My Methodology:
My classes are communicative and student-centered: you’ll be speaking Spanish from the very first class. I tailor each lesson to your goals, whether it’s for travel, work, preparing for an exam, or communicating with family and friends. I combine conversation practice with clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary when you need them, and I use real materials like music, news, videos, and everyday situations. As a native speaker who has lived in both Argentina and Spain, I can teach you both Latin American and European Spanish, and explain the differences between the two.
Subject Knowledge:
In addition to the language, my background in history and culture allows me to provide context to our lessons: traditions, expressions, and the stories behind the Spanish-speaking world.
Learning Spanish should be exciting, not stressful, and that’s how my classes are.
Here’s what you get when you learn with me:
You’ll be speaking from day one. Less memorization, more real conversation.
Tailored classes. Your goals, your level, and your pace, whether it’s for travel, work, or chatting with family.
A patient and approachable teacher. Mistakes are welcome here: that’s how we learn!
Real Spanish. Everyday expressions, culture, and the differences between Latin American and European Spanish.
Flexible schedule. I’m available Monday to Saturday, in the morning and afternoon (Pacific Time).
