About me
Hi!
My name is Ramiar, but my friends call me Rami (ラミ). I'm originally from Stockholm, Sweden, but I'm currently living in sunny South Africa -- an experience that would not have been possible if I didn't speak English!
Learning a new language opens up many doors in life, and it is also an exciting way to challenge yourself intellectually and develop as a person. In my lessons, there's no need to feel self-conscious or awkward; I'm a very patient teacher, and I know very well what it's like to learn a completely new language. I've been studying Japanese for years, and I still struggle with it at times!
Growing up bilingual, I spoke both Swedish and English in equal measures; as a result of my multi-cultural upbringing, I'm a native speaker of both languages. I would love to help you on your journey towards a better understanding of either language, so send me a message and let's get started!

Degrees and certifications
Graduated university with a 3-year bachelor's degree in Japanese studies. I've also finished a 120 hour TEFL-certification.
Teaching Experience
I have previous experience as a tutor for high-school students. I taught math and physics at a high-school level.
I really enjoyed my time as a tutor! Helping people achieve their goals is both fun and fulfilling, and I hope to be able to help you with your language goals as well!
