My name is Louie (ルイ). I was born in Japan where I grew up, then I moved to America with my family in 2014.
I started as an ESL (English Second Language) student at first. Yes! I once was not fluent in English just like you!
After graduating from ESL, I became an English tutor for ESL students for 4 years. I have developed a passion for helping others learn a new language ever since.
I attended Butler University in America for 4 years and earned two degrees in Business. During that time, I worked for a Japanese company where I marketed the product to American and Japanese customers. From this experience, I am deeply knowledgeable in how to conduct a business talk in both Japanese and English. If you are interested in using English for a business setting, I got you covered too!
My goal is to make you feel comfortable speaking English, and I am here to help you with whatever you need! It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced English speaker. I will develop personalized lessons for you to best reach your goals.
I am fluent in English and Japanese with no accent. I will help you with your pronunciation, and if you are really struggling you can ask me clarifying questions in Japanese!
Most importantly, I want you to have fun while learning English! I know learning a new language can be slow and frustrating at times. Lessons will be conducted at your pace, and they can be as casual or formal as you'd like! No need to stress when you are in session with me :)
