Hi. I am Sraboni. I have been sharing knowledge in an interactive and fun way at school and online since 2011. I can easily communicate in English as I have done my schooling from a reputed English medium school. Hindi is my native language, and Bengali is my mother tongue. I speak in all the 3 languages, depending on to whom am I talking. I have been conducting online Hindi and Bengali classes since 2014. Being a teacher in an I.S.A CERTIFIED SCHOOL (by British council) for four years, and having trained award-winning students for inter-school competitions, I know how to motivate the weak students to perform well and how to bring out the best in bright students.
Me as a Teacher
Teaching is my passion and I love interacting with people of different countries and knowing about their culture. Being an Indian, I also love to talk about our diverse culture and traditions.

As an online tutor, I can easily do this. I share my knowledge with others and help them to speak a new language in an interactive and fun way and I also get to know a lot during the classes. I also try to bring in some fun moments because everyone likes to smile :) :) But obviously not always, as students need to understand and learn also and be attentive.
My Lessons & Teaching Style
People learn languages for various reasons, for travel, work or simply because their spouses speak that language. I plan my classes accordingly and we also discuss about topics that would be more relevant to that particular student. Example: for a tourist, I will help with how to talk to cab drivers and how to bargain while shopping as they may be travelling alone. If I teach someone whose husband is Indian, I may teach her how to say a recipe in Hindi/English to impress her in laws or teach them a poem or song just for fun. I also take into account the interests of the students before deciding a topic of discussion. 


For complete beginners, I start from the basics and go at a very slow pace during the initial classes so that it is easy for the student to follow. I give many relevant examples that help students to understand the rules of grammar or sentence structures easily. 

I teach complicated sentence structures to students of intermediate or advanced levels. In these classes we discuss about various topics and cover more vocabulary. I also help students to convey the same idea using different sentence structures.

 The points that I stress on while conducting a class are: pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and the formation of correct sentences.

I also teach reading but learning how to read is not compulsory, if you are only interested in speaking. I would love to teach you reading if you are interested in reading Indian stories or poems. We will begin with learning alphabets, followed by words and finally read stories or poems together.


If you wish to, we can go through India's history, Bollywood songs and mythological stories and discuss festivals as well.

मैं एक भारतीय हूं। मैं अंग्रेजी में आसानी से संवाद कर सकती हूं क्योंकि मैंने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा एक प्रतिष्ठित अंग्रेजी माध्यम स्कूल से की है। हिंदी मेरी मूल भाषा है, और बंगाली मेरी मातृभाषा है।
मुझे विभिन्न देशों के लोगों से बात करना और उनकी संस्कृति के बारे में सीखना पसंद है। मुझे हमारी विभिन्न संस्कृतियों के बारे में बात करना पसंद है। एक ऑनलाइन ट्यूटर के रूप में, मैं यह बहुत आसानी से कर सकती हूं। मैं अपना ज्ञान दूसरों के साथ साझा करती हूं और उन्हें एक मजेदार तरीके से एक नई भाषा बोलने में मदद करती हूं।

मेरी शिक्षण शैली छात्र की सीखने की क्षमता, वर्तमान स्तर और लक्ष्यों पर निर्भर करती है। कुछ और अधिक विस्तृत दृष्टिकोण पसंद करते हैं और कुछ बस यह जानना चाहते हैं कि कुछ दिनों के भीतर देशी लोगों के साथ कैसे संवाद किया जाए। मैं तदनुसार कक्षाओं की योजना बनाती हूं।
