A Little bit about me. (=^ ◡ ^=)

はじめまして. フアンです. どうぞ、よろしくお願いします. ^_~

My name is Juan, I'm Colombian, my native language is Spanish, I live in Bogota the Colombian capital.


I'm 34 years old, I’m a smiling, kind, friendly, patient, tolerant and charismatic person.

I'm a lawyer but my passions and hobbies are studying languages, teach my own language, to meet people from other cultures and traveling. Due to the above, I became a teacher in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Besides that, I can speak so well Turkish language and I´m fluently in English, let me know if you need advises or to learn about those languages for me will be a pleasure to help you.  

I’m learning Japanese, I can greet, I can read ひらがな and カタカナ, just a few 漢字(o˘◡˘o). I love Asian cultures especially Japanese one, I like some animes specially the old ones and Japanese food. I hope travel soon there.

Teaching degree and Experience. (=^･ｪ･^=)


I'm a certified teacher in teaching Spanish as a foreign language from the University of Barcelona, since I got my degree I’m a teacher with great dedication, passion and a strong teaching vocation. 

I’m a teacher with 2 years of experience, teaching Spanish to different students from different countries, principally giving online lessons, that’s why I’m becoming good with all the technological stuff like applications and online tools necessary to use in class, in a creative and educational way.   

Moreover, I have certified the English (B2 – IELTS) and Turkish language (Istanbul University). I have experience in teaching no just Spanish language, but Turkish language as well. On the other hand, I create pedagogical material to teach the Spanish language in other languages (English and Turkish), I’m planning share them in Cafetalk.

Don´t worry about the material, texts, pdfs, bibliography or other pedagogical stuff to learn further Spanish because I will share with you all. I count with the last editions of all Spanish books which will help us in our classes.

My skills highlights in teaching and style (^◔ᴥ◔^)

  1.  language teaching in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) guidelines (A1, A2, B1, B2. C1).
  2. Method focused on communication and skills development (Oral Expression, Written Expression, Reading Comprehension and Listening Comprehension). Mainly Oral expression.
  3. Optimal interaction and communication with students. 
  4. Good class management.
  5. Knowledge of the use of current digital tools for teaching and learning. 
  6. Knowledge and adaptability to the diversity of language levels in the classroom. 
  7. Knowledge and management of the latest editions in terms of manuals and books for teaching Spanish. 
  8. Innovate lessons planing. 
  9. Knowledge of Gamification as an alternative pedagogical method

I believe that learning a different language must be fun, enriching and life-changing experience, for that reason Iencourage you since the begining of our class to express yourself and to communicate, to be fluent through our lessons and learning from the mistakes. Don't be shy with me I'm here to help you ;)

My goal as a Cafetalk language tutor is to create engaging and meaningful lessons that can take your language skills to the level you dream about.     

I guess you aim to involve yourself in-depth study of the Spanish from beginner level up to advanced, or maybe you just want to polish your conversation skills, you might also wish to learn enough to survive daily life in a Spanish speaking country. Or perhaps you wish to take the DELE test and need some grammar, reading or writing practice or to do your homework of your spanish class in the University or school. That's why I invite you to take a look at my lessons and see which would fit you best and your needs in Spanish.

If you don't find the lesson that you're looking for in my lessons, I encourage you to request a trial lesson and we can deal a lesson that fit your needs and goals, we will be able to accommodate them in some way.
