Hello! I’m Sunny, a Korean language tutor.

I live in South Korea, and I majored in Japanese language at a university in Seoul.

Actually, this is a little embarrassing to admit, but I wasn’t very interested in the rather rigid way Japanese was taught in university. Of course, my grades weren’t that great either. lol

However, during my senior year of college, I got absolutely obsessed with Japanese TV dramas!

Back then, I was so obsessed that I watched the same drama over 30 times. I even memorized not just the lines, but the characters’ every move.

That’s when I felt it very strongly.

“Once you’ve built a solid foundation in a language, you need a reason to keep enjoying it!”

It could be a TV drama or traveling.
It could even be a goal like, “When I go to Japan, I want to try saying this!”
Or perhaps a specific objective, such as, “I absolutely want to get my point across at this meeting!”

Through those experiences, I became increasingly interested not only in the Japanese language, but also in Japanese culture and the way people think. After graduating from university, I taught Japanese for about 10 years.

I currently teach English to junior high and high school students in South Korea.

I love talking with people and sharing in their joy when they say, “I finally did it!”
Interacting with my students energizes me and naturally brings a smile to my face.

That’s why I’d now like to help all of you who want to learn Korean.

“I can’t speak Korean very well yet, will that be okay?”

There’s no need to worry!
I also offer Japanese language support, so please feel at ease.

Let’s learn Korean while having fun chatting about topics that interest you. We can talk not just about studying the language, but also about traveling to South Korea, Korean dramas, food, culture, and more.

Whether you love traveling, want to try something new,
or simply think, “I want to be able to speak Korean!”

Please feel free to stop by.

I’m looking forward to enjoying a fun conversation with you!

I look forward to meeting you.
