Hallo!
 
My name is Emily and if you are looking for creative ways to improve your German speaking or writing skills you came to just the right place.
I would describe myself as patient and open-minded, and my experiences in different fields of life, such as biology, music, theater and more, helpful to understanding the person I talk to and adapting to their needs.
 
Teaching Experience
During my studies I taught guitar lessons for beginners which I found to absolutely enjoy. With having taught both children and adults I quickly understood the many fascinating ways different people approach each problem. And while I learned that there is no one-fits-all solution, there are indeed common pitfalls every student encounters. As a teacher my job is it to find individualized methods based on the students' prior experience, motivation and goals.
 
Teaching Style
Due to the nature of the lessons and me speaking very little Japanese I recommend them for students with a level of at least A2. Depending on the student's preferences I can design the entire lesson, including explanations, etc... in German entirely. But I am, of course, happy to provide any needed explanations or additional information in English as well.

Learning a new language can be an incredibly fulfilling and exciting experience, opening up a whole new world of culture, people, ideas and philosophies. And the right materials and methods can help alleviating potentially frustrating aspects of this experience.
