Hello! My name is Nyameko, and I’m originally from Cape Town, South Africa. I’ve spent many years living and working abroad, especially in Asia, and I now teach students from all over the world online. Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing, reading, and working on my magazine, Write Away Magazine, where I support and showcase writers. I also enjoy discussing topics like education, culture, travel, and personal development.
I have over 15 years of experience as an English teacher, working with students from young learners to university level and adult professionals. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and a TEFL certification, and I am currently completing my PGCE. My teaching experience includes General English, Business English, Academic English, and exam preparation such as IELTS. I have taught in classrooms, one-to-one lessons, and online environments, so I am very comfortable adapting lessons to suit each student’s needs.
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and focused on real communication. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable and confident, so I create a relaxed environment where you can practise without fear of making mistakes. At the same time, I make sure each lesson has a clear goal and that you are making real progress.
In my lessons, we will focus on speaking, vocabulary, and practical language you can use in everyday life. I also help students improve their writing and develop strong, clear ideas, especially useful for academic or professional purposes. I enjoy using real-world topics and conversations so that learning feels relevant and engaging.
Whether you want to improve your fluency, prepare for an exam, or build confidence in English, I will guide you step by step and adapt lessons to your goals.
I look forward to working with you and helping you grow in your English journey!
