Hello, I'm Joan.

"I've been teaching English online for nine years now, catering to both kids and adults, from beginners to advanced learners.

Teaching at a women's university in Japan has provided me with valuable insights into the needs and challenges of Japanese students. Additionally, I work with professionals and adults seeking to enhance their English skills.

I was a deejay for many years, so you can learn the tricks of speaking well impromptu and how to catch your listeners' or audience's attention.

I have a passion for reading and writing, having served as a researcher, writer, and editor. I'm here to assist you in honing your writing skills.

My teaching expertise spans English for Daily Conversation, as well as preparation for exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC. I've successfully guided students through test preparation and overseas interviews, drawing from my experience teaching individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.   I've helped professionals ace their job interviews and land on their dream jobs.

I hold a TESOL certificate from Intesol worldwide, accredited by the UK-based ALAP (Awarding Language Acquisition to Professionals).
