Hi Everyone! My name is Jane and I have been teaching in Japan for about 5 years! I have taught all age ranges but my passion is teaching children!
I am from Iowa in the United States. It is a small place, mostly known for corn! I studied Japanese in college and found my passion for teaching when I moved to Japan!
My Japanese level is slightly above conversation as I have many friends who speak little English. If you are a student who feels insecure asking questions in English, please feel free to try in Japanese. However, I will not speak Japanese unless you ask me to.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching Youtube or Netflix, cleaning, and spending time with friends!
My goal as a tutor is to help my students feel comfortable using their English. Any level is welcome! My students often say my English is easy to understand.
