Hello, my name is Kou. I live in a place called Hokkaido. I have worked in the IT field for over 40 years.
Through my work, I have had interactions with foreign IT engineers, which sparked my interest in teaching Japanese to foreigners.
Just before retiring from my job, I aimed to become a Japanese language teacher and passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test.
Up to now, I have taught Japanese to a wide range of learners, from beginners to advanced levels, on a volunteer basis.
In my classes, I mainly focus on reading comprehension and reading aloud. Through these activities, I aim to enhance learners' Japanese language skills by identifying and reinforcing areas of concern in their grammar, pragmatics (appropriate use of Japanese in different situations, such as honorifics), pronunciation, and accent.
Given my long career in business and recruitment activities, I have firsthand experience with the deep interests of foreign Japanese learners in these areas.
Therefore, I not only teach Japanese but also aim to teach about Japanese company culture.
Let's enjoy learning together as partners in your Japanese language studies.
