Hi there :)

My name is Tessa and I am from the sunny city of Cape Town, South Africa!

I'm a current graphic design student here in Cape Town and I've been teaching english online for over a year.I also volunteered as a teacher's assistant for a month in January 2023 in order to gain some experience live in the classroom.In 2022, I got my Tefl Certification from the International Tefl Academy in order to teach English online to foreign learners.

Besides teaching, I have a great passion for the Arts and travel.I love to draw and paint as well as playing my guitar in my free time.I love travelling and learning about different cultures, which is what initially drew me to teaching english onlie.I love meeting new people and learning about their stories and cultures.

I teach learners of all ages and all levels of English, from beginners to those of advanced levels of the langauge.So whether you have just begun your journey or whether you are confident in your English speaking abilities, please feel free to join my classroom, all are welcome!

I know learning a new language can be very challenging, believe me, I have been there...But together, along with with a positive mindset,hard work and of course...some fun, I know that we can boost your confidence as an English speaker!

I strive to create a relaxed and non-judgemental classroom environment, so please, feel free to ask me any questions you may have.And remember, making mistakes is how we learn, so don't be afraid to make them!

I offer lessons on multilple topics, including; English grammer, free conversation adjusted to your personal level of the language, English literature and more!I offer both structured lessons ( I prepare a lesson and activities for the student to complete) and customizable lessons, so let me know which one suits you and your learning needs!

I reccomend booking an introductory lesson with me first in order to get to know each other, your level of English and more about how you learn!

I look forward to learning just as much from you as you will be learning from me :) I hope to see you in my classroom, let's learn together!
