My name is Elena and I have been teaching all aspects of English as a Foreign Language for the last 13 years. I have mainly taught in a Further Education College and language schools in the United Kingdom where I specialised in General & Academic English, IELTS, and teaching History & Politics to international students. I am very passionate about teaching and hope to give students the opportunity to reach their goals from anywhere in the world.
All levels from Elementary to Advanced are welcome, including all ages from 16 and above. Students who are interested in taking exams like TOEFL, TOEIC, and EIKEN are also welcome! I am a friendly, patient tutor whose main priority is to guide you, support you, and help you reach your goals. My lesson plans will be tailor-made to your needs and I will always be open to suggestions for new topics and interests you may have.
Let me give you a little insight into my lessons..
We will always start with a brief warmer to get our minds ready! Then I will introduce the topic, vocabulary, grammar, or anything else the lesson is about. Sometimes, I might send you some materials to look at before the lesson so that you are familiar with what we will be studying on the day. My main aim is lots of practice and participation from you. At the end of the lesson, we will be discussing mistakes and I will be offering some suggestions for further study and practice at home. After the lesson, I will send you all materials used in our lesson along with my feedback.
Students' progress is my number 1 priority so if you decide to take a few lessons, we will put together a personalised study plan that suits your learning.

Hobbies:
- I love listening to Indie Rock and tend to go to a lot of concerts. My last one was to Stereophonics and it was epic!
- I am addicted to travelling, especially when it entails coming into contact with brand new cultures and food (delicious!)
- Curling up with a good book is always top of my list, especially as it rains a lot in England.
- I have started cooking a lot more lately and love to create my own dishes! Hopefully, when my family members attempt to eat my creations they feel the same..
- I enjoy playing the piano, and when I get a little bit of free time I compose my own music.
- Until recently, I enjoyed dancing Argentine Tango and got 92% in my last exam (Yay!!!)
- I am currently learning Italian and trying to brush up on my French (so I know exactly how language learners feel!)
Learning English is fun and can definitely be interesting!
