Hello! Pleased to meet you. My name is Laurence and I come from Scotland. I love to play sports, especially rugby or martial arts, as well as hiking. For 10 years, I worked as a sailor, travelling the world and seeing new places. Every time I came to Japan, I wished I could spend some more time here, so I decided to finally move here and learn the language!

As a language student, I understand the difficulties with learning a new language and I hope I can help teach you English in an easy to understand way.

I'm a very patient and thoughtful person, so if there is any trouble with understanding anything, we can find a different way to make it work! I like to offer a personalised English tutoring service, so that means no classrooms, no tests, and no strict schedules. Maybe you want to do some textbook work, or maybe you don't feel like that and just want to talk about your week; either way, I'm happy to help! If you don't know where to begin, I can help to make some suggestions, and I have the Side by Side series of textbooks ready to use.
