Hello! My name is Lulu, nice to meet you!
I'm a half-Japanese English teacher from America and I live in Japan now. I am interested in culture, history, and meeting people from different countries. I studied sociology in university, so I'm also interested in social problems and human rights. I believe that meeting people from different cultures helps us build understanding and empathy, which can help the world become more peaceful.
Right now, I am a part time ALT teaching English at a junior high school in Japan and in the past I've taught at elementary schools as well. I have also introduced parts of American culture at cultural exchange events.
My main focus is teaching English, but I also want to talk about culture and society with my students. We can learn about culture and society while practicing English!
Some of my hobbies are: reading books, watching movies, and drawing. Oh, and I love going to cafes and drinking coffee! And I am a big fan of Studio Ghibli movies and other Japanese anime, especially Attack on Titan.
