Self-Introduction
Hello! My name is Tina! I am currently studying to become a Japanese language teacher through a distance learning program at university.
I live in Japan with my 4 dogs, my children, and my husband.
I have a cheerful personality and I’m always smiling. I can be a bit goofy, and since I laugh a lot, people often say that I’m easy to talk.
I love helping others, and whenever I see someone in need in the streets, I can’t help but offer assistance.
My hobbies include cooking, yoga, meditation, playing with my dogs, and reading.
I also enjoy manga, especially Detective Conan, which I’m currently hooked on.
Although I’ve just started studying to become a Japanese language teacher, I would be happy to help people who want to learn Japanese and Japanese culture, or those who want to live in Japan.
I can also offer advice in English as I’m capable of everyday conversation in English. I have studied abroad in the U.S. twice, so I also have experience in cross-cultural understanding.
Teaching Experience
I’ve previously run an English conversation class for children at home, and I’ve also helped with grading and teaching assistance at a children’s learning center. I find joy in teaching others and learning together.
I hope to not only teach but also learn from my students.
Lesson Style
My lesson style mainly revolves around free conversation.
Aside from the following topics, I’m open to talking about anything fun:
Violent content
Criticism of specific religions or cultures
Sexual topics
Any other topics that might make either of us uncomfortable
My speaking speed might be fast, so please feel free to let me know if you have any preferences regarding that.
I would love to have a fun lesson where we can learn from each other!
