Hello there,
My name is Alejandra and I'm an English as a second language tutor. I have 4 years of experience teaching adult learners from many different backgrounds and cultures worldwide. I'm originally from Bogota, Colombia but moved to the US when I was 5. I have lived most of my life in California and now live in San Diego, CA. I love to teach and learn new languages myself. I'm learning Italian at the moment and also speak Spanish fluently. I love to travel and have been to the Dominican Republic - DR, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The picture below is of a traditional kitchen in the Dominican Republic.
My teaching methodology is very casual. I have regular conversations with you about your daily life. This way you start to feel comfortable and start to speak natively. I can also teach a bit of the English grammar if you like.
I have my TEFL/TESOL certification. As well as a certification with Parrot a limited working plus (ILR 2 +) speaking proficiency in Spanish. This means that I demonstrate fluency in specific areas of competence can describe and narrate in great detail and easily handle complications in Spanish.
