Nice to meet you, I’m Yuka-t (유카)! I’m so happy to see that there are so many people interested in the Korean language!!!
 
I majored in Korean at university over 20 years ago, and even spent a year as an exchange student while I was a student. I’m still one of the many learners just like you, but I would like to use my years of learning experience and the unique perspective of a Japanese speaker to clear up the questions that Japanese speakers tend to have when learning Korean! I want to support you in your journey of learning Korean! Above all, I was so glad to have many people who are studying Korean along with me, that I decided to become a teacher because I wanted to help you learn! What kind of Korean language skills are you aiming for? I think it is definitely more fun to study with someone than studying on your own. If you want to improve your Korean skills, why don’t you study with me?　　
 
　・Students who are studying for TOPIK: do you have trouble solving past questions that only offer answers and no explanation? Let’s make sure you understand with detailed explanations and full translations!
 
　・Students who are struggling in the intermediate level: Do you feel like the following? I’ve practiced so hard, but I still don’t know all the words… I still make mistakes with simple things... I’ve experienced this too! Let’s go over the basics and overcome your weaknesses together, with your own pace!
 
　・For beginner level students “Is this correct?“: For beginners, it is especially important not to leave any questions unanswered. You can ask any questions you have, so let’s solve your doubts and build your confidence!
 
　I first became interested in the Korean language when I was in junior high school. At the time, there were no Korean language teaching materials or information like there is now, so I had to study on my own through radio courses. I listened to the radio and learned Hangul and did my best, but there was no place to check if I was pronouncing the words correctly or if the sentences I thought of were correct, so I ended up getting stumped at that time. Now, those of you who are learning on your own from books, TV, etc.! Please feel free to ask me questions and get your doubts cleared up! I believe that clearing your doubts is the key to improving your skills. The more you try, the more interesting it gets, and that’s what Korean is all about! I’m having the most fun learning Korean I’ve had in over 20 years♪and I’d love to learn with you! I’m looking forward to your requests.
