Hello, I'm Joan.

I have been teaching English online for six years now.  I teach kids as well as adults, from beginners to advanced.

I teach online at a women's university in Japan - it makes me better understand Japanese students.  I also teach professionals and adults.

I was a deejay for many years, so you can learn the tricks of speaking well impromptu and how to catch your listeners' or audience's attention.

I love reading about anything, and I love writing just as much.  I was a researcher, a writer, and an editor,  so I can easily help you out with your writing skills as well.

I teach  English for Daily Conversation, IELTS, TOEFL,  and TOEIC.  I've helped students review for these tests and their interviews overseas.  Over the years, I've taught students from different countries.

I have a TESOL certificate from UK-based Intesol worldwide  -  it is accredited by the UK- based ALAP or Awarding Language Acquisition to Professionals.

It's fulfilling to see my students break the language barrier when they can fully express their ideas and thoughts.   And most importantly, I want my students to have fun as they learn because English is a dynamic language.
