Everyone has heard of La Fontaine's Fables (Les fables de La Fontaine),

La Fontaine's Fables are written in a difficult form of French that is no longer used.

Curriculum
The seminar will be in French but I will sometimes use words in Japanese or English to clarify the meaning.
- 1: Who is Jean de La Fontaine ?
- 2: What is a Fable ?
- 3: Reading the text (+ translation in Japanese next to the text)
- 4: Sentence-by-sentence explanation in French (some words will also be given in Japanese or English)
- 5: Summarise the story + identify the main ideas
- 6: Questions and answers
