Hello
everyone. Hi, there. It's Teacher Asuka.
Today, I'm going to talk about my 2nd travel diary in Spain.

After staying at my friend’s house in Logroño, I took a night bus from Logroño to Barcelona by way of Zaragoza. I reached Barcelona at 6:00am.

I promised to see my Japanese friend who stayed with me in Madrid for just a day at Barcelona and went back to the UK together. Unfortunately, my friend called me not to come to Barcelona because of having a cold. What a thing! Therefore, I had to go back to the UK by myself.

However, I didn’t know how to go back to London from here and I was worried not to be able to speak Spanish as well. Luckily, I found a Tourist Information Center at the Bus terminal where I had just reached. As soon as it opened at 7:00am, I entered there and asked a staff how to go back to London. She told me to get to ‘Barcelona-Sants Bus Station’ by Metro from here at first so that you could find a coach terminal of ‘EuroLines’, which is an International long-distance bus to get a ticket from Barcelona to London. Soon I got the above information, I took a Metro (it means ‘underground’ in British English) to 'Barcelona-Sants Bus Station’ to get a ticket. Unfortunately, I couldn’t buy a bus ticket there. It was an Easter Sunday, April 8th.

Because of that reason, there was no bus from Barcelona to London on that day. That’s why, I bought a ticket for a next bus and I decided to find somewhere to stay in Barcelona for a night. I began to read a book named ‘Chikyu-no-arukikata’地球の歩き方', which is one of the popular books for Japanese travelers, and then I found one Youth hostel in Barcelona.

I called there to book (or to reserve) for a night. It was around 8:00 in the morning. I walked alone to get to that Youth hostel which I was going to stay on the very day.

Because of the early Easter Sunday, there were few elder people around there.

What happened after this? I’ll tell you more in the next column.

Thank you for reading (or listening) this time as well
See you next time!

Bye for now.
