Unit 4: Lesson Pack 1 – Describing Appearance

In this lesson pack, you'll learn how to describe people naturally using clear, everyday English. We'll focus on talking about a person's appearance and age while practicing the very common spoken English structures "have got" and "has got."

Throughout the lessons, you'll build your confidence through guided practice, vocabulary activities, and interactive speaking tasks. In the final speaking lesson, you'll put everything together by describing one of your friends using the language you've learned.

You'll also use expressions from previous lesson packs to talk about a person's name, job, and country of origin, helping you review and strengthen skills you've already learned while developing new ones.

This lesson pack will strengthen your ability to describe people in English and give you an excellent opportunity to demonstrate everything you've learned so far.

 

In these lessons, you can learn:
  • useful expressions for age and appearance
  • how to use "have got/ has got"
  • how to talk about people naturally
This lesson pack has 3 lessons:
  • Describing Appearance (Vocabulary)
  • Have Got/ Has Got (Grammar)
  • Describing a Friend (Speaking)

  • This is an A1 or Beginner level course.
  • This is part 10 in a series.
  • Completing parts 1 - 9 is required for this course.
  • This course uses Cambridge and Oxford course material (Primarily Roadmaps).
  • No textbook is required for this course and all materials will be provided.
  • Upon completing each lesson, the student will be sent a copy of the lesson (pdf), an audio file for further practice, and any feedback notes from the lesson.

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
