Writing helps us share stories, send messages, and remember important things. Like detectives, we're going to learn how to put our ideas together in English to solve the mystery of writing great stories!

Problem Situation
Imagine writing a letter to a friend who lives far away, but you only know how to write in Portuguese. How can we learn to write that letter in English so our friend understands?

Understanding Simple Sentences
1. Start with a subject, like 'I', 'You', or 'She'
2. Follow with a verb, like 'eat', 'play', or 'go

Examples and Practical Applications
For example, 'I eat pizza' or 'She plays soccer'.
Let's imagine you're telling your friend about your favorite food or sport.
 
 Using Connectors
1. Words like 'and', 'but', and 'because' connect ideas
2. They make sentences longer and more interesting
 
Examples and Practical Applications
  • Like in 'I like cats but my sister likes dogs'.
  • It's like building a train of thoughts with 'and', 'but', or 'because' as the hooks between the carriages.
Building Paragraphs
1. A paragraph starts with a main idea, called a topic sentence
2. We add more sentences to support the main idea

Examples and Practical Applications
Imagine you're describing your perfect day. Start with 'My perfect day starts with sunrise' and add details like where you are and what you do next.

Checking for Coherence
1. Coherence means the text is clear and all parts connect well
2. We check if our story or text 'flows' logically from start to end

Examples and Practical Applications
Imagine you're telling a story about a lost puppy. Each sentence should help us understand the adventure, like clues in a treasure hunt, leading us to the happy ending.

Summary of basic text writing 
1. Writing is like building with blocks - start with simple sentences
2. Use connectors like 'and', 'but', to make longer, exciting sentences
3. Group sentences into paragraphs around a main idea
4. Always check if your story makes sense from beginning to end
