COURSE LEVEL:  Beginner/Intermediate – Age 11 and Up

Course content will be tailored to Age group
(High School Students and Adult Learners welcome)

OVERVIEW:

 

  • For this lesson, we will learn about casting shadows in perspective
  • What is the difference between Shades and Shadows?
  • Why are Shades and Shadows important?
Drawing is a learned skill, if you are willing, you can do it! Grab your pencil and paper and let’s have some fun.

COURSE DURATION: 60 Minutes

COURSE OBJECTIVE:  

 

  1. Utilize your understanding of perspective principles and apply them in actual drawing.
  2. Work from Basic shapes up and compose a Scene.
  3. Learn when and how to use Shades and Shadows.
ART MATERIALS:
  • Pencil (preferably HB)
  • Pencil Eraser
  • Sketchpad or a few pieces of Plain White Paper
  • Ruler (optional)
  • Pencil sharpener
