Most of the time, when we don't know how to say what we want or need, we can describe it. Then the other person knows what we are trying to say!

 

"A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" teaches you to describe with great detail. We will work on describing pictures, people, places, things,  and emotions/feelings.

 

In this class, I will present you with pictures to describe. As you speak, I will take notes of your description. When you are finished I will count how many things described about the picture. We want to try to increase that number with each class. At this time, I will also prompt you with questions about the picture so you can describe additional features of the picture.

 

I ask that you trust your knowledge of the English language and focus on the DETAILS in the picture. Discussing details is such a good way to finally use all those adjectives and adverbs you studied from textbooks! Describing details will also introduce advanced vocabulary words.

 

Plus, looking at an interesting picture is fun! See you in class!
