1. Warm-up


Purpose: Activate prior knowledge and get the student talking.
Teacher Prompts:

“Do you like taking vacations?”

“Where do people usually go for holidays in your country?” 
Mini activity: Show a few images (beach, mountains, city) and ask:
 👉 “Which one would you choose for a vacation and why?”
2. Vocabulary Introduction
Purpose: Teach or review useful travel/vacation words.
Key Vocabulary:

Beach / Mountains / Resort 
Activity Idea:
 Have the student match words to pictures or use them in a sentence.

3. Main Speaking Activity
Purpose: Encourage extended speaking and fluency.
Option A: Guided Discussion
 Ask open-ended questions:

“What is your favorite vacation you’ve ever had?” 
- 
“Who did you travel with?” 
- 
“What activities did you do?” 
- 
“What kind of vacation would you like to take next?” 
- 
“Do you prefer relaxing or adventurous vacations?” 
Option B: Role Play (Teacher–Student)

Situation: You are planning a vacation together. 
- 
Discuss where to go, how to travel, where to stay, and what to do.

Encourage use of phrases like: -

4. Wrap-up & Feedback
Purpose: Review, correct, and close positively.

Review 3–5 new words learned. 
- 
Give gentle feedback on pronunciation or grammar.

Praise effort and fluency.

Ask: “Where would you like to go if you could travel anywhere in the world?” 
Optional Homework:
 Write 5 sentences about your dream vacation.
