Hi, I'm Danial — thanks for stopping by my page.

I grew up between Brunei and the Philippines, studied literature in Melbourne, and spent six years teaching English across Japan's Kansai region, so I know both sides of the language-learning table: the textbook and the very real nerves of trying to speak in a second language. My lessons are built around that. We talk. I keep the space relaxed, I meet you where you are, and I gently push you toward the goal you actually care about — whether that's holding a confident conversation, sounding natural in emails and meetings, or just enjoying English again.

I write professionally and run a small financial-literacy project on the side, so I'm especially at home with business English, writing, and clear professional communication — but I love easygoing conversation practice just as much. Outside of teaching I'm into fiction writing, board games, photography, and all things Japanese culture, which means there's usually something for us to actually talk about.
