Ramwol Tutor Profile

Hello! My name is “Ramwol (覧越)“. (Please call me “ramoru”).
I am Korean and was born and raised in Japan.
I have now been living in South Korea for a quarter of a century.

I have been fascinated by languages and cultures since my childhood,
and I studied Spanish in college.
After graduating, I worked for an American airline for 6 years
and then moved to South Korea.

I enjoy traveling (I’ve been to Europe and America, Southeast Asia, Turkey, Peru, Fiji, Sri Lanka, etc.)

I went to the Grand Canyon with my family.

At the Vatican Cathedral.

At the Alcazar in Segovia.

What I enjoy most now is walking around and visiting the local bakeries and cafes in my city!

I have several years of experience teaching Japanese in South Korea.

I am currently working as a freelance interpreter and translator.
I have numerous experiences as an interpreter,
interpreting for government agencies,
business meetings between Japanese and Korean companies,
and as an accompany interpreter for TV program interviews.
My translation experience includes government publications,
medical device manuals,
pamphlets for artistic performances, and more.

I have numerous years of experience,
but the majority of my translation experience is in video translation,
mostly K-POP-related work.

I have been involved in the production of K-POP programs
(script translation, Japanese language instruction at recording sites,
translating subtitles, etc.) for about 15 years.

As a person who has experience learning Korean and is living in South Korea
while using Korea on a daily basis,
I hope I can be of help to you in learning the Korean language,
especially if you are a native Japanese speaker.

I also provide fortune-telling based on Four Pillar astrology.
I studied under a Korean Four Pillar Mythology teacher
and have been providing services in South Korea for about 10 years,
and I also opened my own office in South Korea in 2021.
I usually provide these services in Korean,
but I would be glad to consult with you in Japanese as well.

I look forward to meeting you!

*Please note that I do not provide video recordings nor audio recordings of my lessons.
I also provide some audio-only lessons, in which case I will not have my video on.
