TEACHING METHODOLOGY
This lesson is built entirely on the principle that young learners need to feel, move, and create- not sit and listen. Every activity involves some form of physical or creative engagement. Children draw their own families, handle flashcards, and use their bodies to express emotions before they ever write a word.
Teaching is done through Total Physical Response (TPR): the teacher says "Grandma is tired!" while acting out exhaustion, and children copy the gesture and repeat the phrase. Meaning is conveyed through visuals, gestures, and expression- translation is kept to a minimum to immerse children in English from the very first minute. The warm, celebratory atmosphere ensures that making mistakes feels safe. Stars, stamps, and enthusiastic praise reinforce every effort.
WHO IS THIS LESSON FOR?
Designed for absolute beginners aged 6 to 9. No prior English knowledge is needed whatsoever. This is an ideal first lesson for young learners in a school or private class setting. Also suitable for kindergarten and early primary students being introduced to English for the very first time.
