This is a longer lesson for people with mediation experience.  I recommend taking the shorter mediation lesson first, if you are new.  You can, of course, book more than one lesson per week to manage your stress. You will become used to the flow sooner and will be better able to relax.  (Note: meditation script changes only weekly.)

There may be longer breathing and awareness pauses during this lesson, so playing some relaxing music (without singing) in the background is recommended.  

Sit in your chair or lie down on a yoga mat.  Cover yourself with a blanket, if you get cold.  Most important: be ready to relax and know your Sankulpa before the session. (see below)

My guided meditations are based off the practice of Yoga Nidra and include breathing, visualization and imagery.  Each mediation "lesson" will follow a similar pattern that you will expect to practice but will change very slightly every week. At the heart of the meditation is the Sankulpa and awareness of the the body and self.  

A Sankulpa is a statement about yourself or an intention.  We say the Sankulpa with our full heart to engage a transformation or resolve we wish to happen.  Some examples of Sankulpa:

I am confident
I am successful
I am worthy to be loved
I will be more grateful in my life
I will let go of.. (my sadness, my stress, a difficult situation)
I will pass my exams
I wlll do well in my job interview
I will give an amazing presentation

You will say this Sankulpa in your head during the mediation.  (I will not hear you, so this will never be embarassing.)

Body awareness helps you to relax each part of your body and then brings you together to connect with the wholeness of yourself. The awareness flow-routine will be almost the same every week.  You will know what to expect and can fully relax.  You will also be able to learn and use this technique to relax and help you fall asleep at night.  

At the end of the mediation, you will feel relaxed and refreshed.  We will conclude the lesson and you can continue with your day or evening feeling much better.  :)
